“SIT ON ME”, 2023

"SIT ON ME" is an adaptation of the artwork, "HOT YOUNG FILIPINA", taking the black velvet canvas away from the conventional wooden frame and applying it to a piece of furniture. The artwork entices and encourages the audience to reflect on the title, is it an invitation? Is it a chair to be sat on? One chair is upright and the other is 'knocked over', with the seats upholstered by the painted black velvet.
